10 Funcinpec Party Officials Defect

Phnom Penh: Information Minister and government spokesman Kieu Kanharith said on Friday that ministers, and deputy and Secretary of state have defected from Funcinpec Party to Cambodian People’s Party. Funcipec officials also confirmed that 10 members of Funcinpec Party, who wanted that for long time ago, joined CPP. Funcinpec spokesman Nouv Sovathero said that the defection is not new to Funcinpec Party. He added that the defection really had the effects on the party’s principles, but this is their rights. Some of them were not happy with the party’s new leader, Nouv Sovathero added.
