18-year-old Teenager Arrested in Rape Case

Kampongcham Province: 18-year-old Thoung Pov was sent to The anti-Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Burean Police of provincial police station one day after he was attempted to rape a 19-year-old woman in Kdey Thkor village, Srey Sonthor district’s Bram Yeam commune. According to Srey Sonthor deputy police Chief Kheng Sreng, the accused Thoung Pov broke in the victim’s grocery at around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday to steal properties. Meanwhile, he was attempted to rape the woman who was sleeping with her mother. But she woke and kicked the man, who was holding her waist. After that the man escaped to his relative’s house in the same village. After receiving the complaint, the local police searched and arrested the accused to bring to justice.
