20 million dollars for developing Tonle Sap lake area

Phnom Penh: Asia Development Bank will provide 20 million dollars for developing the surrounding area of Tonle Sap Lake. According to the announcement from ADB on 6 December, 10, 1 million dollar will be served as the loan, and the rest is none repayment fund for improving rural area of Tonle Sap Lake. The government has to fund 3 million dollars added to this project also. Ian W. Makin, ADB Water Management expert, said that this project will directly and indirectly benefit to Cambodian people about 68,000 families that have been selected from three provinces around Tonle Sap Lake plain.
