30 March is the day of propaganda campaign for district election in Cambodia
Four big parties are preparing processions for the propaganda campaign for district election on the 30 March. The four parties are Cambodian People party (CPP), Sam Rainsy party, Funcinpec party, and Rorodom Nanariddh party. Among them, CPP has the most supporters up to 22.800 people.
Funcinpec party will start the procession on the 30 March with thousands of people led by Nhek Bun Chhay. The starting place of the procession is at Funcinpec’s office.
Sam Rainsy party plans to start the procession from 3 pm to 9 pm on 30 March. Ten thousands of people are expected to join this procession. Sam Rainsy party chooses National Assembly is the starting place of the procession. The procession will arrive Der Kul market at 6 pm which is the time that supporters light candles. They will eventually gather at Independent Monument where Sam Rainsy will make the last speech for the election.
Rorodom Nanariddh party starts the procession on 29 March 2007 with 6.000 to 7.000 people. The procession which is led by Mao Yuran starts from Toul Kok to Independent monument.
