4,520 tons of unhusked rice per week exporting through Takeo

Phnom Penh: Four gates in Takeo province are busily exporting the unhusked rice to Vietnam every week. At least 1000 to 2000 tons of that rice per week is exported through each gate such as Kor Orn Deth, Phnom Den, Kampong Vel, and Angkor Bore. Mr. Nghek Srorn said that this is not the main problem concerning to the shortage of food for the farmers, but it is rather lost for this business. Cambodia will gain much more benefit, if the rice can be abundantly exported; however, our rice quality is considered as no standard at all.
