A 18-year-old Student Jumps from Chroy Chang Var Bridge

Phnom Penh: A grade 10 male student attempted to commit suicide by jumping from Chroy Chang Var Bridge at 10:20am on 26 Jan 2008 in Doun Penh district’s Srah Chok commune. Police saved him from the water on time. The victim said at police station that he repeated grade 10 last year, so he has sought many ways to ask his teacher let him study in grade 11. He has given 30 dollars to Vorn who guarantee to help him. After giving the money to Vorn, he still repeated the class and he dared not tell his parents about that; therefore, he attempted to kill himself.
