A Bomb Attacker Faces 17 Years in Prison

Kampot Province: Kampot provincial court on Friday sentenced a bomb attacker 17 years in jail and also demanded him pay $2 000 for the victim’s family. The criminal known as Oum Oeurn threw a bomb into a house at 11:40 p.m. on 17 October 2007 in Kamponc Trach disrict’s Kan Thoukang Lech commune, killing three people. The prisoner had rancor over a land dispute with the victims and he believed that his father’s death caused by the family of the victims after a fortune teller told him, police said.
