A Buddhist Novice Released from Jail

Battambang Province: Battambang province court decided to temporarily release a Buddhist novice, who was charged with murder. At 6 pm, on 26 August in Svay Thom pagoda, Svay Thom village, Sangke district’s Oudom Bang II commune, the novice Noeurn Vutha, 21, took a sword to attack another monk, Chheng Chealy, who always blamed him. The novice Noeurn Vutha had spent 10 US dollars buying the sword, Sangke district military police commander said. The monk was attempted to kill Chheng Chealy, but the court accused him for injuring case and the Chheng Chealy also did not sue the monk, therefore he was released.
