A Construction Worker Dies in Robbery

Phnom Penh: A 25-year-old construction worker died immediately in a motorbike robbery at 1: 40 a.m. on Friday in Meanchay district’s Chak Angreinkrom commune. The dead victim Kosal was shot to death by two unknown men when he was driving his 2008 Dream motorbike with his 24-year-old girl friend, who is a garment worker. According to local police, she said that the two robbers followed them and pointed a gun at her boy friend in order to take the motorcycle. She tried to flee when his boy friend were scuffling with the two robbers, who escaped safely on the victim’s motorbike.
