A dialogue with Cambodian youth to mark International Human Rights Day

Phnom Penh: The National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia is to host a dialogue with Cambodian youth on Wednesday, 9 December, 2009, and you are cordially invited to this event.
Titled “Promoting Democracy through Youth Participation”, the event will be held to mark International Human Rights Day on 10 December.
Two hundred students from six schools in the capital Phnom Penh and Kandal province will participate in the event, which is aimed at promoting youth engagement in the democratic process of Cambodia. Representatives of several youth organisations in Cambodia have also been invited to speak at the forum.
H.E. Ms. Khuon Sudary, Chair of Commission 1, will preside over the event, which will also include question-and-answer sessions between panelists and the students.
The Technical Coordination Secretariat (TCS) of the Cambodian Parliament is organising the event in collaboration with Commission 1 of the National Assembly and with the support of UNDP’s Legislature Assistance Project (LEAP).
