A Doctor Was Intentionally Stabbed by 3 Masked Assailants

Kampongspeu: A man was critically injured in an incomplete murder happened at 7p.m. on 15-March-07 in Viel village, Rorlain Chork commune, Samroung Tong district.Mr. Ham Pann, Samroung Tong district’s deputy police chief that holds punishment affair, said that the victim named Thoung Vuth-52-years-old, male- live in Veal village, Rorlain Chork commune, Samroung Tong district. Mr. Thoung Vuth is a doctor working at WAC Volunteer organization. The victim told police that at 7p.m. on 15-Mrch-07, after resting for a while with family he walked out about 20 meters of the house to piss but was stabbed and beaten by 3 unidentified masked assailants.
Doctor of the victim said that while assailants were fighting, the victim shouted for help that villagers ran forward the scent and attackers suddenly escaped.
On 16-March-07, at a private clinic punishment technical police confirmed that the injured man was stabbed with knife 6 times in right shoulder, thigh and beaten the head but not caused dead.
Police and provincial army are investigating the case. Masked, the assailant could be known by the victim.
