A Family Robbed after Selling Corn

Battambang Province: Five masked men with knives robbed a farmer family after they had sold red corn for 5 000 000 Riel (around 1250 dollars) at 11pm on 24 Jan 2008 in Raksmei Sangha village, Rattanak Modol district’s Sdao commune. 64-year-old victim Lim Soa, the father of house owner, got injured on his head and body, Rattanak Modol district deputy police chief, said. House owner Kim Then, 27, said that platinum necklace and bracelet and 5 000 000 Riel were lost in the robbery. The robbers left the scene safely after they robbed the victims of their properties.
