A Man Arrested for Raping An Under Age Girl

Phnom Penh: A 24-year-old motor taxi driver was held for raping a under age girl. Police detained Au Sokroth at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday at his rental house in Russeikeo district after the locals had heard a 9-year-old victim girl crying louder at the rental house, where the suspect was attempted to rape the young girl, police said. At police office, the suspect Au Sokroth confessed that he saw the girl walking alone near Langka pagoda on 12 December and he lured her to go with him. They went for a walk a few days in Phnom Penh and on 15 December, he took her to a guest house to spend a night with her but she cried louder when he was trying to raping. Then he was arrested one day later when he was with the girl in his rental house. Chomkamon penalty police said that the girl’s father filed a complaint with police on 13 Dec after he lost his daughter.
