A Man Rapes an Old Woman

Kampongcham Province: A 36-year-old man was arrested by police for unsuccessful rape a 72-year-old woman in Memuth district’s Memmorng commune, Kompongcham province.
At 5:30pm on 17 June 2007, a man known as Mhem Ponlork strangled an old woman named Soem Saroem in order to rape, but he did not reach his bad goal because the victim shouted for help, said Memuth police.
Before the event, the old woman was cleaning her dishes alone behind her house about 60 meters when the criminal hugged her at her back, strangled, and took off her clothes to rape, but his did not achieve his bad goad, so he stabbed the old woman with his knife in her right wrist, left lip, and her left eyelid, the police added.
