Phnom Penh: On Saturday, there will be a NEW KHMER DANCE PERFORMANCE: “MOVING INTO FEELING” at 7 pm.
Dutch director Bob Ruijzendaal presents January’s second dance performance @ Meta House: It features the three aspiring Khmer dancers Mom, Davy and Phon Sopheap. This is the last of a short series of works in progress eventually leading to the “New Cambodian Artists” show called “THE SOUND OF RICE” that will be performed on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April in Phnom Penh. This performance is followed by a rooftop screening of short films by Todd Brown and “SEASONS OF MIGRATION” by John Bishop (USA). Bishop’s film (2006, 60mins) documents a Cambodian classical dance piece, directed by famous choreographer Sophiline Cheam Shapiro (Khmer Arts Academy).
