A Teenager Rapes a Spinster

Takeo Province: A 19-year-old teenager was detained by police for unsuccessful rape on 10 September 2007. The rapist known as Thoet Chay lives in Kirivong district’s Soum commune. He raped the victim, who is a spinster, in a rice field in Thom village, Phnom Den commune, Kirivong district. The victim named Choun Deth, 34, was raped while she was pulling the small rice tree out, and was about 50 meters from his father and smaller sister, who were under a tree. The adult confessed that he raped the victim unsuccessfully, and in that time he was drunk, police said.
