A Woman Dies After Giving Birth

Phnom Penh: A woman died after she gave a birth to her baby in Kosomak hospital in Phnom Penh city on 25th December. The body of the dead victim was sent out secretly, not informing police to check her corpse. The woman known as Pen Sophea, 28, lived behind the Kosomak hospital, in Tuol Kork district’s Boeng Kork II commune. According to the victim’s relatives, she was sent to the hospital on 23 Dec to give a birth, but she could not. Then she had an operation to get her baby out. Three days later she got very suffered in her stomach. Her caretaker informed doctor about that, but the doctor did not pay attention, just said wait, until she died. No one responsible for her death
