A Woman Kills herself for Land Dispute

Svay Rieng Province: A 45-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at the house on Saturday afternoon in Svay Tiep district’s Kor Kisom commune after she had drunk wine with her husband and two brothers, who have just been set free from jail for land dispute. The victim known as Srey Ny always attempted to commit suicide when she was drunk, her neighbor said. Poverty, living along border and in a run down home are the motive of the hanging especially she had a long land dispute with a rich person since 2005. When she was drunk, she always said that she did not want to live: living by mental pressure, unhappiness, and threatening, her neighbor added.
