Alcohol beverages Killing People

Phnom Penh: Every day, the local media especially newspapers, printing in Khmer and English language, publish the death of many people particularly in the countryside in Cambodia after they drink or use alcohol beverages. Besides, the domestic violence as well as property destructions is also considering resulting of the alcohol consumption. Although such unfortunate information has been discovered, no immediate measure has been taken to reduce the alcohol consumptions or reduce these productions. Even more worried, the traffic accident is the main reason that causes serious and bad influence on individual health, family and social development. In 2008, 25796 people were the victims of traffic accident, killing 1638 and injuring 7226. 16 percent of these victims drove their vehicles under the influence of alcohol beverages. Drank driving is the second cause of the Phnom Penh: road accident in Cambodia in the present time (according to Handicap International report). By Seangly
