Alcohol Made a Man Hit another Man’s Head Strongly

Kampong Cham province: Rice wine (wine made of the steam of rice) made a man,45 years old living in Cheas II village, Thmor Pech commune, Tbong Kmom district, quite drunk to hit a man strongly with the trunk of the bamboo who drank with each other .
Tbong Kmom district’s police said that the conflict occurred at 3:30p.m on 16-March-07 as they were drinking together. At the same day the man named Meoun Mein with other 3 men drank rice wine at Mr. Yein’s house in first Cheas village, Thmor Pech commune since 10a.m. till 3:30p.m. They drank out 4 litter of rice wine that made them very drunk and at the time the man named Mien argued with another man named Sok Meng, 42 years old living in first Cheas village. Their dispute got stronger and stronger that made Mien took a piece of bamboo’s trunk to hit Meng in the head and body till bloody body.
Mr. Lieng Eing, Tbong Kmom’s deputy police chief, claimed that after hitting the victim the assailant did not escape because he was so drunk. When it was heard, Thmor Pech commune’s administrative police convened and sent the attacker to district’s hall to be questioned.
Tbong Kmom district’s police added that after filed the document the assailant was already sent to provincial police hall.
