An 86-Year-Old Monk Killed

Kandal Province: An 86-year-old monk died piteously in pool of flood in his monastery on 29 August 2007 in Tuol Sala pogada, Doem Trang village, Ang Long Romeat commune, Kandal Province’s Kandal Steung district. The murdered monk known as Yuon Sorn was born in Kandal Steung district’sDoem Roes commune, but he has entered monk hood at the pagoda since 1985. The people living around by said that recently there was a group of bad teenagers provoking the turmoil by picking the coconuts in the pagoda’s land. They were maybe very angry with victim, monk, who had blamed them; therefore, they killed him.
