Arrest Man after Kill Husband to Rape Wife

July 21, 2007: A man named Chhel Pal, 28, was arrested allegedly for killing husband man Kang Veit, 25, to rape his wife. The killing occurred at about 8:00 p.m. on July 19 in Nakta Tvea village, Rusei Krang commune, Battambang province when Kang Veit went to borrow a battery from a next village. The dead husband’s wife Ham Chanty, 22, said that the assailant had tried to rape her many times, but never completed. The perpetrator confessed that he killed Kang Veit because he had looked down on him with some words.
