Cambodia’s Business Rank Remains Low

Cambodia’s business rank remained the same this year with the lowly 145 out of 178 surveyed countries according to a World Bank-international Finance Corporation study. Cambodia was placed 145 just behind Gabon (144) and ahead of Djibouti (146) while Singapore still kept its number one with New Zealand and the US placing second and third. Tim Smyth, managing director of Indochina Research, said it is still relatively quick and expensive to get a business off the ground in Cambodia.
