Cambodia National Oil Authority denies exploration license for MedcoEnergi

MEDCOENERGI, an Indonesian oil company claimed that its sponsored company, Medco Cambodia Tonle Sap Limited is lincensed for the oil exploration at the 12 Block in the Tonle Sap river but the claim denied by Cambodia National Oil Authority's staff. Te Doung Dara, director Cambodia National Oil Authority denied the Indonesian's claim on oil exploration license saying that we should not belive much on the information in the website. Many controversies evolves related to the oil exploration in Tonle Sap river. The environmentalists and natural conservationist said that the oil exploration at Tonle Sap river will spoil the environment especially the river itself.
