Friday, May 11, 2007
170 families at Kratie province center had wrote a letter to Mr. Kham Pheun Kratie provincial governor to decrease the price of electricity and water supply after increasing on last January this year.
The price of electricity was increased from $0.29 to $0.39 per kilowatt hour and the water supply from $0.15 to $0.22 for cubic meter, Mr. Kham Pheun said.
Mr. Kham Pheun added that he got the complaint letter last Friday and tried to find a good way to reduce the price of electricity and water supply. But it wasn’t possible because the price of oil were higher. Unless the cost of the oil is lower, the price of electricity and waster supply will be better.
