Chinese Woman Commits Suicide

Phnom Penh: A Chinese woman was attempted to commit suicide from Monivong bridge on Thursday at around 8:30 a.m. in Meanchey district’s Chba Ompov I commune. The security guard of the bridge caught her when she was about to jump down into the water. At the police station, the woman did not reply to police; she maybe did not speak Khmer, police said. According a motor taxi driver, he took her from the former Kirirom theater. As soon as reaching the bridge, she stopped there. However, the cause of the unsuccessful committing suicide was not known. Police allowed the motor taxi driver to take her back.
