Construction mushrooms; quality is not focused

Phnom Penh: Shelter is what human necessarily needs. Seeing this, many local and international constructors have invested heavily in construction sector. Some constructors focus on quality but some others do not follow the standard by building the cheap and low-quality houses in order to meet the demands of low-income people.Seung Bunna, director of Bunna Reality Group, a famous real estate company in Cambodia said that most Cambodian do not know what is the quality of the construction that it may cause bad effects for their living, but the effects do not appear immediately.
Governor of Phnom Penh, Kep Chuktima said that there are 3 categories of constructors. First is the international constructors that have their own engineers and experts, and follow the international standard. Second is the famous local constructors. The last type is the unlicensed constructors that do not follow the standard. They build the cheap and low-quality houses to meet the demands of low-income people.
