Court Summons SRP Hou Van to Appear

Phnom Penh: The Phnom Penh Municipal Court summoned Hou Van, Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker, to appear in the court on 9 September. The SRP lawmaker Hou Van has gone to the United State and until the present day, he has not had lawyer. Hou Van was accused of libel after he commented the graduation of some military officers in April. According to the summon, if he does not appear in the court, he will be sentenced in absentia.
