Crocodile raising popular in Battambang

Ek Phnom-Battambang: Fishing is the primary job for people living in floating commune in Kompong Brohok commune, Ek Phnom district, Battambang among other floating commune in Tonle Sap river. But in recent years, crocodile raising becomes popular because fishing gives less income. A big crocodile having length of 1.8-2 meters cost $150, and hatched egg costs $11. From hatching to maturity takes 7 to 8 months.
