Cutting Log Boosting in Siem Reap’s Sre Noy Commune

May 8, 08: Illegal cutting and transportation of log is boosting seriously in Sre Noy commune- around 70 kilometers westward of Siem Reap provincial town. The timber cutting is used by big sawing machines. Siem Reap’s forest conservative sub-director Mr. Tea Kemsoth claimed that the company that bulldozes the land, it gathers all logs to sell and some of the money will be put into the state account. For Sam Rainsy party’s parliamentarian Mr. Son Chhay said that it is the country sneaking activity by conspiring with the government. The government never follows up the development on concession land.
