Dance Night: An Evening of Cambodian and Egyptian Dance

Phnom Penh: On Sunday, Yon Davy’s first choreography piece “ACTION WAVE”. Davy is part of the “New Cambodian Artists” group, who successfully performed in our space in January. This time she will work with fellow dancers Yon Chantha & Choun Sovannary. In two duets and two solos the artists will explore the gap between classical and contemporary movements. Their highly anticipated performance is followed by the rooftop screening of classic Egyptian dance movies and contemporary theatrical pieces, introducing both folk and classical Egyptian performance traditions and their historical context.
