Demand for $100,000 From Land’s Owner by Using Name of Cabinet Ministry

Phnom Penh: Four excused were arrested by Information Office force and National Security army at 3:30p.m on 24-March-07 as they with their attorney accepted money from a lady the land’s owner in Café Chhouk Rat located in house No 176 along road 130 in Phsar Thmey III commune, Daun Penh district.
The excused were alleged in using name of members in Ministry of Cabinet to demand $100,000 instead of issuing letter to grab 3 hectares of land that is lawfully owned by a widow Suon Tevy, 51, living in Two village, Ou Treh commune, Steng Harv district, Sihanouk vile.
In the warn, the excused have fake the name of land’s owner by using the name of Cabinet Ministry and the name of Deputy Prime Minister Sok An to threaten to grab the land of the widow if she would not offered the money demanded on the fixed date.
