English Mine Detector Killers Will Be Sentenced

Phnom Penh: The case of a group of Khmer Rouge, who killed a foreign mine detector and Khmer translator, will be held a hearing on October 14, after the detainees were questioned on Thursday this week. This case, which just made public, has not been sentenced for 12 years. They were accused of illegal detention and murder that happened in Angkor Thom district’s Svay Chek commune, Siem Ream province on 26 March 1996. Through Phnom Penh court warrant which charged them of having relationship with the murdering of an English mine detector and Cambodian interpreter, the accused were arrested one after another by nation military police in November 2007.
