Factory workers request for better working condition

Phnom Penh: About 100 workers of Kerry Enterprise in Sangkat Teuk Laak II, Khan Tuol Kork, ran riot for 14 better working conditions in the morning of 8 May 2007. The representative of the workers said that the workers proposed the request since 28 February 2007 but the factory side ignored. The worker representative added that seeing the factory did not care about their requests, the workers decided to run riot.
Police said that the worker representative and the factory representative negotiated in the afternoon of 8 May but the result did not release yet.
