Fire Destroys Goods Stalls in Beng Kuk Market, Kampongcham

Kampongcham Province: At least ten goods stalls were destroyed by fire at around 1 P.M. on Sunday in Beng Kuk market, Kampongcham district’s Kampongcham commune. Kampongcham police chief Som Phat said that the fire incident caused by a careless seller known as Nang, who had lighted the incenses to pray on Chinese New Year at her grocery. If two fire trucks of provincial police had not intervened on time, all the goods stalls in Bent Kuk market would have devastated. According to Som Phat, the destroyed goods cost about 30 000 US dollars.
