Five Die within an Hour of Lightning Strike

Takeo Province: Five people died within an hour in the lightning attack on May 1 at 3 p.m. Kirivong district police chief Meas Sophean said that Phok Chang, 44, and his daughter Phok Hunsreylak, 14, lived in Chimrah, Kampeng district. Mrs. Pen Sin, 42, lived in Han Tea village. The three were attacked at their house. 62-year-old Bie Chiek was killed while he was planting rice in Prey Romdeng commune’s Dey Krorhom village. His phone, which was with him, was damaged. The other dead victim known as Soth Kie, 28, was attacked when she was taking her cows back home in Trang district.
