Funcinpec Wants Norodom Nanariddh to Come Back

Funcinpec and Norodom Ranariddh party officials have met each other many times in order to talk about Norodom Ranariddh returning to Funcinpec Party, but so far, there has not been any agreements achieved yet, said Nouv sovathero, Funcinpec spokesman.
Phnom Penh Municipal Court sentenced Norodom Ranariddh, who has been in abroad since January, in March in absentia to eighteen months in prison.
If Norodom Ranariddh completes two conditions, Funcinpec Party will support him in 2008 of Prime Minister Candidate, said on Saturday Keo Puth Raksmey, the president of Funcinpec Party.
“Funcinpec needs Norodom Ranariddh. If Norodom Ranariddh does not come back, Funcinpec pary will face problem in 2008 election”, Mar Sophal, monitoring chief for the committee for Free and Fair Elections.
