Government Concerns with Sound Effecting Temples

September 12, 2007: In the meeting with JAL (Japan Airline International Co.Ltd.) company at Cabinet, Deputy Prime Minister Sok An greeted the investment of Japan in Direct flight to Siem Reap and he also inform the concern of planes’ sound could effect temples. He said that sound of airplanes would effect the temple because Siem Reap Airport locates only 12 km from the temple.
Spokesman of Cabinet said plane that JAL company pans to fly is the modern reaction airplane with least reactor control. It might respond to the effect of environment demand.
