Government Official: American Newspaper Scorns Cambodia

Phnom Penh: Information minister and government spokesman Khieu Kanharith on Sunday said at the information ministry that an American Newspaper looks down on Cambodia by releasing an article on Mosdesto Bear Newspaper. Journalist Joel Brinkley was the writer of the article, meaning that “Cambodia is the most corrupt country in the world”. The minister said that the article contained the pictures of Prime Minister Hun Sen and his sons with the caption “the PM was the leader of this group”. The writing was a kind of threatening as well as looking down on Cambodian government, the minister stress.
