Governor, Deputies Removed over Kob Srov Case

July 29, 2007: Prime Minister Hun Sen released a sub-degree to invert Mr. Kem Bou, governor of Kandal province, to hold general secretary post in the government, Mr. Hei Kan and Mr. Cheng Gnan, deputy governors of the province, to positions in Ministry of Interior. Mr. Kem Bou was replaced by Mr. Chhun Syrun, the Phnom Penh deputy governor. Mr. Hei Kan and Cheng Gnan’ s positions were substituted by Mr. Chem Shok, fifth sub-minister and Mr. Chuon Sovan, Minister of Kong Yutapol Kemarak Pumin. The inversions were made over land fulfilling of private company in Kob Srov area.
