Governor Met with New Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

Phnom Penh: H.E HONG Ki Chol, new assigned Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea had expressed his warm regards to H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema during his courtesy visit in the afternoon of February 01, 2012 at the Capital Hall.
H.E Ambassador had appreciated and fully supported to the development process of Phnom Penh, especially he had reminded of long cooperation of both countries under achievement of the King Father NORODOM Sihanouk and the Former Great Marshall KIM IL Sung. He additionally mentioned that Phnom Penh had attracted most Korean people because the King Father had named a Boulevard as KIM IL Sung Blvd. and every high delegation always visit this boulevard during their official mission in Phnom Penh.
This boulevard is a symbol of the bond relationship and cooperation between both countries, Cambodia and North Korea and H.E had conveyed his appreciation to maintenance work for this street and this had urged him to continue sustain and improve that cooperation more and strengthen good friendship tie forever. Moreover, H.E had also request for support from H.E Governor during his mission in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
H.E Governor welcomed the new ambassardor with the appreciation to cooperation between both countries, particularly Phnom Penh had received good collaboration fruitfully. Furthermore, all great achievements in Phnom Penh, the Capital Hall is fully responsible for maintenance and protection including KIM IL Sung Blvd. even though we do not have enough ability but it is our obligation to preserve the bond relationship and cooperation of both countries. H.E Governor had added that the Kingdom of Cambodia under wise leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo HUN SEN had led Cambodia to become the host country of ASEAN Summit this year and the Capital Hall is busy in preparation of city beautification as the host country and we strongly believe and is ready for the further cooperation with the Embassy.
