Health Sector: National Budget $5.7 for Per Capita

In co-rechecked document on health achievement of 2007 shows that percentage of national budget offered to Ministry of Health in 2006 divided to GDP equals 1.08 percent that contains 1.26 percent of plan. Proportion of national budget for Ministry of Health divided by national budget equals 6.64 percent of total national budget that contains 10 percent of the plan.The document reveals that approximated budget on total expend for 2006 has 261,751 million Riel equals 94.8 percent of improved plans in the same year and national budget for per capita in 2006 has $4.64 but nevertheless the report also confirms that the expend of national budget in 2006 was better than in 2005.
Ms. Sok Kangha sub-director of plan institution and health information said that the amount of national budget for Ministry of Health in 2007 is much more than in 2006 that makes national budget for per capita increased to more than $5 excluding budget in equity fund, programs on community health, concession program and other programs. She added that according to the second national observation in 2005 proves that a Cambodian person spent $15 in average a year for health that 90 percent paid out on private service.
Depending on rechecked report on health achievement for annual 2007 shows that priority works and recommendations for 2007-2008 focused on 9 priority points.
