Hundreds of Water Festival Goers Killed and Injured of Stampede

Phnom Penh: Hundreds of water festival goers, most of them are from the countryside nationwide, died and injured after a stampede on the Koh Pich Bridge on late Monday, the last day of the annual festival. According to a report released by the research committee working on the incident, by 12:30 pm on Tuesday (23/11/10) the number of death increased by 375 and wound 755. The corpses and victims were taken to Calmette and Soviet-Cambodian Friendship hospital. The Cambodian government is working to find out the exact motive of the tragedy.
