Tokyo: Japan is the most important country that has donated about 1600 million dollars to Cambodia. During his visiting in Tokyo, Mr. Gorn Seroth, Raksmey Kampuchea political writer, met Japan foreign affair minister who obviously determines to donate fund for Cambodia election in 2008. Many questions were asked to Mr. Koumura, Japan foreign affair minister, concerning to the unlimited donation fund for developing Cambodia. The main questions being asked are why does Japan donate large amount of money for Cambodia? And so far how much money that Japan has given to Cambodia? According to Mr. Koumura, the reason that Japan decides to kindly help Cambodia with very large amount of money is because in 1954, Cambodia rejected the compensation that Japan had made during the Second World War. This is the most crucial historical relationship between Japan and Cambodia. Until now, Japan has donated about 1600 million dollars to Cambodia and it wil be continued in the future also.
