Karaoke Girl Killed in Guest House

Kandal Province: A 24-year-old man was charged with killing his girlfriend on 19 February 2008 in Raksmey Pech Guest House in Takmao district’s Takmao commune. The victim known as Srey Lak, 23, lived in Sa Ang district’s Roka Khpos village, and the perpetrator Veng Veng lives in Kampongspeu Province. Veng, who chopped his girl friend to death with a knife, got seriously injured because he attempted to commit suicide with the knife after killing the victim, who died in the pool of blood. The motive of killing was not clear, but police concluded that it caused by jealousy.
