Khmer Krom Monks Defrocking And Missing In Vietnam

13 Buddhist monks were defrocked and three who missed in Vietnam in recent weeks. In these cases, a letter was sent to National Assembly President Heng Samrin on Monday. The letter wrote to ask for dealing with these events and hoping Samdech Heng Samrin could help by speaking to Vietnam’s National Assembly.
“Khmer Krom monks are not a Cambodian issue and it’s in Vietnam,” Heng Samrin said. Involving in this case, many civilians and local Buddhist monks clashed with ethnic Khmer monks from southern Vietnam on last Friday. This event occurred at Phnom Penh’s Wat Ounalom.
In this event, “ police will start to investigate today” Man Hau, the deputy police chief for Dang Kuo district Choam Chou commune said.
