Phnom Penh: The 1960s saw a surge of rock n' roll in the Cambodian music scene that blended traditional Khmer music with garage and psychedelic influences. "Dontrey. The Music of Cambodia" is a student magazine from the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, that deals with the pop music of Cambodia. On the occasion of the publication of this magazine, we will show recent pop videos and selected excerpts from classic Cambodian films. Expect rare gems and nuggets, including the only filmed appearance of Cambodian superstar Sinn Sisamouth and and His Majesty King Sihanouk himself on the piano. Approx. 60 mins. The magazine will be for sale. Admission: 2 USD. Free for students. (Meta House)
