Knowing Accountant Career

In a large cold room, a lady, 24, sits opposite commuter. Actually, she is Ms. No Boren accountant for Cambodia Communication Institute at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. The little lady gives an interview as following.
Tiep Seiha: Are you busy in your career today?
Ms. No Boren: Yes! It is really busy because some months the money is very complicated. I am an accountant so I respond salary for all teachers of CCI. And if money came from Germany late, I have to seek it from another sector to support teachers’ salary to be in time. Germany Association (Konrad) donates the Cambodia Communication Institute. The late money is not often.
How do you get this job and when?
I have worked here since 2002. Before I hand the job in the year, I had seen announcement mounted the Royal University of Phnom Penh’s board for accountant position. It is very interested and I decide to apply for the job. At interview day, there were other two women. The result I become an accountant until today.
Before work in here what major and experiences do you have?
Besides studying bachelor degree of accounting at National University of Management, I also study short course of secretary skill at the Development Center in Cambodia. In 2002, I was an accountant trainer for National Bank and I used to work as an accountant at factory, too.
Can you tell that accountant career is the most suitable for man or woman? Why?
Based on today, in every university the number of accounting woman students are more than man students. To me I think to work as an accountant, woman is more convenient than man is. Accountant does not travel lot and she works only in office facing with computer. It is a soft work; especially woman is good at preparing money.
What are your good advices for next generation who want to become accountant?
(Smile and speak) Yes! The capacity is up on herself. She has to have good accounting, communication, administration, English, and computer knowledge. Particularly, she has to be good relationship from the top to bottom.
