Knowing Cartoon Painter

Oudom Vevoth, 25, is a Cambodian cartoon painter. He draws many cartoons for education advertisement spots on the TV such as the moving cartoons of using condom, washing hands with soap, and protecting bird flue. Now he tells audiences about his works as following:
? Where do you get the knowledge of education cartoon movies?
Yes! Of course, I know it by chance I have no plan at all. But the thigh is changed in 2000. After I graduated bachelor degree of law at the Royal University of Law and Economic Sciences, the France Culture and the Department of Movies announced to choose writers. And to take this chance that my friends are busy to apply for the first generation of lawyer, I submit an application for the writer. For result I am in reserve, but because the first candidate contracts to play movie. So I am chosen. The time is moving I go to study at Wat Phnom how to draw cartoons. At there BBC organization takes me to work as an animator consultant for short education movies.
? Readers say your pictures look attractive. What kind of tools do you use?
At first I draw cartoons with pencil. And today, because technology is very development, I use electronic board. I just draw on the board and my pictures are on the screen of computer.
? What programs do you use for drawing on computer?
Yes! I use only two programs Photo Shop and Corel Painter.
? How long have you spent of drawing a picture of cartoon?
It is not exactly number. Someday I can draw three or four pictures if it is my day. And sometimes it is no one comes out.
? What kind of subjects should we have for design cartoon?
He or she has to have knowledge of physic and technicality of creating movies.
? Audiences want to have your cartoon pictures do you sell them on the market?
Actually no, I have never even wanted to sell before. I only paint for movies.
