Ler market burned, about 900 stores and 12 houses were destroyed

Preak Sihanuk City: Nearly 900 stores and 12 houses were destroyed by fire at midnight on 02 January in Ler market. The city authority is charged of this crime. The residents and the stores owners in the market have confirmed that this event was made by the authority, for they want all the venders to move to the new market that was built already. However, all of them reject to change their locations, because they can not afford to buy a new store at that new market. It is true that the city authority want them to move to the new market, but we strongly deny what they have charged us of this great disaster, said Mr. Say Hak, Preak Sihanuk governor.
